1. Introduction. This paper is the third in a series of palaeoecological studies investigating benthic trilobite associational composition across the South China Plate during the Arenig-Llanvirn interval (see also Turvey and Zhou, , Turvey and Zhou, ).The present study focuses on the abundant early Ordovician faunas of southern Shaanxi, which is situated on the present-day .
